thanks to , i got the idea of giving the winner the signed original  token entry i made for that contest. what do you think? would you want that? would it make you more likely to enter? does it not motivate you at all?

each contest i run and people can ask me to take place in other contests (i will be the contest whore!) i will make token entries for prizes.

what do y'all have to say about that? any thoughts?

since ~misterwackydoodle gave me the idea for this, i'll start with the   contest.

it hasn't begun yet, but there will be a blog soon that will give out all the details, i'll let you know and you can check on the group's home pages to get the specifics. it will most likely be a seasonal theme.

most of these groups accept pretty much all  mediums, i'm a founder or co-founder of each, lol!,  and each will win a signed original from me, my entry for the contest as well as the other prizes that have been sorted out, most of which are solo or group features. however some include llamas and points, etc.

i am going to post this in all my groups, so i apologize if some of you  (a lot of you?? ) will end up seeing  it a bajillion times, so i apologize about that, but...i just don't have time to write all this over and over differently and i want to get the word out to as many people as i can.

i have a donation pool on my page to get points for prizes or making/renewing  groups as super groups.
( just became a super group!)

i'll be writing news articles about all of these, stay tuned and fave them if you would, to make the article more popular.

i know it's been ages since i posted a blog or had a contest (i was gonna start a contest...but then i got high! LOL!).  

this contest's theme is...
representations of the peace symbol!

any medium is accepted. please let me know in the title of the deviation or the artist's comments.  this will keep it clear as to what is for the contest and what isn't.

i would like you to make an entry specifically for this contest.

i will start the contest on monday october 10th, and put a countdown on this page. the contest will be open for submissions for one month.  

the prizes are the same as last time--

front page features--1st place slideshow solo feature and 2nd and 3rd will have a shared feature. make sure i have something to put in the feature! last time that didn't work out so well!

if you have questions or comments let me know and if there are any issues that probably should't be discussed in public (like questions about how we judged it, etc) please either note the group or me.

have a wonderful time, start thinking about what your work will be like, and i hope lots of you  will enter. creativity will be the main criteria for deciding on the winners. the peace symbol is a very standard shape, so think hard about how you can make it different and new. the peace sign should be an obvious part of the artwork, not something stuck in the corner.

hi all,

i'm afraid (as many of you must know by now) that our featured folder reached it's maximum size. i have added several new folders and removed a few old ones. so, please don't dump everything in featured, only what you think is your best.

there are now two traditional folders--both colored and black and white. i hope you will take advantage of this. you'll be seeing a new look around here and hopefully more activity.

also, i have created a folder for the last several months of works that were in the featured folder, so you can still look into the past a bit, however you cannot submit to this folder, for obvious reasons.

i am pretty sure i went back and oped all the folders and set everything properly. if there are any problems or mistakes, let me know. just send the group a note.

i apologize for any difficulties this may have caused you, but i think things will be running more smoothly now.
